you could pedal it up a hill but if you're going to be doing a lot of that id recommend a covert instead

If its a race bike theres nothing wrong with the suspension being set up soft. Its designed to be plush/bottom out easliy so that its smoother over rocks and stutter bumps etc....

29ers are 100% better for cross country they make it so much easier

its called a floating brake. its made to get rid of brake jack cause by the 4-bar design.

back wheel weighs like 8lbs and the frames about 11.11 pounds. it adds up.
